About us…

I am a writer, graphic designer and proud mom with 20 years of experience (13 of them solo) raising two incredible young men. From 2006 to 2014 I wrote about our adventures and my love for them on my personal blog, AUTISM TWINS.

I was a new mom finding her way (first with twins, and then with an autism diagnosis right before their second birthday). Writing about the day-to-day accomplishments and challenges was a place to celebrate the first I love you; the moment I realized that even if he was mostly nonverbal, John could read; watching Sam draw maps from memory; and most of all, the incredible connection they have.

Also the tough times, because of course… who escapes those?

When my marriage ended, life changed in a spectacular way for the three of us. Forced to start over, we packed up and left the only home my boys had known. Writing became something very hard and very heavy for a long time — flying solo is not for the faint of heart!

I am in the thick of writing TOMORROW WILL BE… A memoir of autism, twins, and flying solo. I have carried this book inside me for the past ten years and it is finally finding expression. It is my goal to publish soon.

Essay: “Teamwork” published in November 2011.
